Water Heating

Why is Water Heating important?

Heated water is used for a variety of reasons both residentially and commercially. Typical residential use of hot water includes cooking, cleaning, bathing, and space heating. Commercially, both hot water and water heated to steam have a variety of uses.

How is Water Heated?

Water heating is a thermodynamic process that uses an energy source to heat water above its initial temperature. Water has traditionally been heated in kettles, cauldrons, pots, or coppers. These metal vessels heat a batch of water but do not produce a continual supply of heated water at a preset temperature. The temperature varies based upon the consumption rate of hot water and heat source.

How do I get a constant supply of hot water?

Appliances for providing a more-or-less constant supply of hot water are known as water heaters, hot water heaters, hot water tanks, boilers, heat exchangers, calorifiers, or geysers depending on whether they are heating potable or non-potable water, in domestic or industrial use, their energy source, and in which part of the world they are found.

What is a Water Heater?

Appliances used to provide a more-or-less constant supply of hot water are known as water heaters, hot water heaters, hot water tanks.
The water heater can be either a tank or tankless system.

What applies to you?

1) Is this commercial or residential?
2) Do you want to have a tank or go tankless?
3) Energy source: electrical, gas, propane, solar.
